3Your account
Creating an account
To access core features, you need to register with accurate, current, and complete information. You agree to keep your details up to date and not to impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or professional background.
Keeping it secure
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at support@collideme.com immediately.
One account per person
Each person may maintain only one Collide account. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is a violation of these Terms and may result in all accounts being permanently suspended.
You can delete your account at any time through the app's settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in harmful behaviour, or are found to be fraudulent โ with or without prior notice.
4Data we collect and why
By using Collide, you acknowledge and consent to the collection of the following categories of personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Location data
Collide's core feature โ matching you with professionals at the same venue โ requires access to your device's location. We collect location data when you actively use the app. You can disable location access through your device settings, though this will limit core functionality.
Profile information
When you sign up, you provide your name, professional title, industry, profile photo, bio, and areas of interest. This information is visible to other users based on your visibility settings.
Camera and media access
We request camera and media library access solely for uploading or capturing your profile photo. We do not access your camera or media without a direct action from you, and you can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces significant legal or similarly impactful effects on you.
5Acceptable use
Collide is a professional networking space. By using the app, you agree not to:
- Impersonate any person, organisation, or entity, or misrepresent your identity or professional credentials.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users in any form โ including through messages, waves, or profile content.
- Post harmful content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Spam other users with unsolicited commercial messages or bulk outreach.
- Scrape or automate interactions using bots, scripts, or crawlers.
- Attempt to breach the security or integrity of the app or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use Collide for unlawful purposes under Egyptian law or the laws of your country of residence.
- Create fake check-ins or misrepresent your location to manipulate matches.
We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate any account that violates these guidelines โ without prior notice and without refund of any paid subscription.
6Your content
Any content you submit to Collide โ including your profile information, photos, messages, and check-in activity โ remains yours. You retain all ownership rights.
By submitting content, you grant Collide a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to standard backup retention periods described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not share content you do not have the right to share.
7Intellectual property
All design, code, logos, trademarks, copy, and other materials within Collide โ excluding user-submitted content โ are the exclusive property of Collide and its licensors, protected under applicable intellectual property law.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Collide platform without our express written consent.
8Third-party services
Collide uses trusted third-party infrastructure providers โ including Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and others โ to deliver the Services. These providers process certain data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
The app may also link to or integrate with external services (e.g. LinkedIn). Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies independently.

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Egyptian law, Collide makes no warranties โ express or implied โ regarding:
- The uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the app.
- The accuracy or completeness of any content within the app.
- The quality, safety, or legitimacy of any professional connection made through Collide.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Collide and its founders, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of โ or inability to use โ the Services.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of EGP 500 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Egyptian consumer protection law.
11Termination
You may stop using Collide and delete your account at any time through the app's settings. On termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your access โ with or without notice โ if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law or legal process.
On termination, we will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Egyptian PDPL obligations. Data is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 additional days.

- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page;
- Notify you by email (if we have your address) or through an in-app message;
- For material changes that expand how we use your data or limit your rights, provide at least 14 days' notice before changes take effect.
Continued use of Collide after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app and delete your account.
13Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@collideme.com before initiating any formal proceedings โ most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
14Child safety and CSAE
Collide is an 18+ professional networking app. We do not permit users under 18 on the platform, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any content, conduct, or attempt that exploits, endangers, or sexualises children โ including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Our standards
- Account holders must be 18 years or older. We verify age at sign-up and remove any account found to belong to a minor.
- We strictly prohibit any content that depicts, describes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation, including illustrations, animations, or AI-generated material.
- We prohibit any attempt to use the platform to identify, contact, groom, exploit, or solicit minors โ whether through profiles, posts, messages, or check-ins.
- Accounts found in violation are permanently terminated immediately, without notice or refund, and the underlying activity is reported to the appropriate authorities.
In-app reporting
Every user, profile, post, message, and check-in inside Collide carries a Report action. Users can flag content or behaviour that concerns child safety at any time. Reports are routed to our moderation team and reviewed promptly.
To report concerns directly to our safety team outside the app, email safety@collideme.com. This inbox is monitored daily and is the designated contact for child-safety reporting.
Cooperation with authorities
Collide complies with all applicable child safety laws โ including Egypt's Anti-Cybercrime Law No. 175 of 2018 and reporting obligations under international frameworks (e.g. INHOPE, NCMEC where applicable). We report suspected CSAM and CSAE to the relevant Egyptian national authorities and, where required, to international child protection bodies.
We preserve, when legally permitted, evidence of reported incidents and cooperate with valid law enforcement requests.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Then email safety@collideme.com so we can take action on our platform. We respond to safety reports within 24 hours.
